SportspageAt the Sportspage Bar & Grille you can enjoy everything you love about going to the game without actually going to the game…down to the wire action, high fives with fellow fans, and team jerseys everywhere you look.
“If you ever come here to watch a game you won’t want to go anywhere else,” says Sportspage co-owner Ron Newcome. “We show all the games, we have the best food and cold beer.”
Since it opened in September 2006, Sportspage Bar & Grille has quickly become Mechanicsville’s favorite spot at game time. The family-friendly bar and grill has more than 55 HDTVs, including a 15-inch flat screen television in every booth.
“Having a TV in every booth is the kind of thing I wish every sports restaurant had,” says Charleston Edwards, who stopped into Sportspage for lunch.
Wall-to-wall TVs aren’t all the Sportspage has to offer. It also has pool tables, darts, video games, a juke box with more than 300,000 songs, and a menu full of hall of fame-worthy selections that are great even when the game isn’t on.
Tempt your appetite with Sportspage “Warm-Ups.” The appetizer menu is full of favorites like Sportspage wings, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers, and more non-traditional options like fried pickles or Southwest egg rolls.
Sportspage burgers and sandwiches are sure keep you full all game long, especially if you opt for the hot dog platter, Sportspage belly buster fried fish or rodeo burger. Just make sure to save room for dessert. Who can resist fried cheesecake topped with warm apples or the Sportspage Grand Brownie?
“It’s hard to find a sports bar that has good food, so that’s what this is,” Newcome explains. “We’ve got the game and the best bar food in Richmond…the best burger, the best wings, the best wraps, the best quesadillas.”
The Sportspage in Mechanicsville is the second of two locations in Richmond. The first was opened in Midlothian in 2003.
Whether your team wins or loses, you’re guaranteed to have great food and good fun at the Sportspage, which is open seven days a week from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM Visit the Sportspage online at www.sportspagebarngrill.com.
